Forced Listening "Game"
Okay. Everyone likes music, right? Well most of us.
In this thread, I am hoping to help expand people's musical tastes, regarless of the genre.
Procedure -
I will start off by posting a link to a song.
A person will click on the link and watch/listen to the whole song.
The person will then give feedback on the song, both positive or negative.
Then the same person will post another link and the procedure will be repeated.
Rules -
1 - Please, no flaming of other people's musical tastes.
Example - WTF MAN RAP SUX
NUH UH RAWK SUX
STFU GO LISTEN TO CLASSICAL
LOL OLDIE
You get the idea.
2 - Honest feedback.
Don't just say: Oh that song was ok, could be better. *posts new song*.
I'm trying to expand your musical tastes.
3 - No obscure links to porn or something that can easily offend someone.
I'm pretty sure that these forums wouldn't allow pornography anyways.
4 - Have fun.
Lets just hope this works out -_-"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I'll get the ball rolling with:
Yngwie Malmsteen - Black Star - Live
Neo Classical Rock

Regarding "The War"
Well, the vocals somewhat reminded me of Blink182, which tends to bug me o.o
Personally, I found the song decent, but not something that I could listen to for more than 5 minutes at a time. The vocals have a certain pitch that puts my interest off of the 'punk rock' brand that Blink182 has.
Here is something by Agalloch, which I find to be hauntingly beautiful.
Agalloch - Desolation Song
Progressive Folk Rock.

Don't mind the video, it's an AMV created by someone else.

Well, uh, it's been 6 years since I've heard anything from Blink, so I can't really decipher the differences anymore o.o
Anyways, continue with the thread. See? I'm learning already!
